Come away with us

A Suck Valley Walk, Roscommon, February 2008.

One of Ireland's hidden gems, the quiet low lying river Suck meanders along the Galway - Roscommon border, unseen and unheard.

For a total break, come along and walk the riverside and small country roads of South Roscommon. See the lovely La Tène Stone at Castlestrange.

This easy-going weekend will include lunches on both walking days and maybe a quiet pint in a local pub, if you're well bahaved.

Dates : February 23 & 24, 2008.

Return for the 2008 Suck Valley Walking Festival, which runs on September 13 and 14.

March 2009 trip to Poland's great North-East.

Too magnificent to stay away from, the wonderlands of the Biebrza and Bialowieza National Parks are a tonic for the weary soul.

To just walk through the awe-inspiring forests and listen out for deer and elk is to rediscover a part of ourselves perhaps long since dimmed.

Come and contribute to the local economy, while adding your voice to the call for strict preservation of these magnificent landscapes and their wild inhabitants.

Our third annual trip to Poland will take place ...

Dates : March 5 thru 9, 2009.
