Western Ocean Walking Weekends, 2010.

Three great days walking in north Mayo, in a landscape dominated by the North Atlantic.

Day One is arrival day.

Day Two finds us on the truly wonderful cliff-top walk at Ceathru Thaidgh, in the far corner of NW Mayo. We follow that with a second, shorter stroll on Erris Head's cliff-top walk.

Day Three has us out on the wonderful, evocative Iniskea Islands, deserted by humans since the 1930s and now home to many seabirds and grey seals.

On Day Four we will walk The Mullet peninsula, with its fabulous beaches and views to take the breath away.

We stay in locally owned, environmentally conscious accommodation, use the services of a local boat owner for the island and travel in a locally owned minibus or shared cars. Price includes three nights B&B, three packed lunches plus three dinners.

The Mayo Adventure, 2010.

A full week (Satrurday to Saturday) of great fun in the wilds of Mayo, where we will enjoy walking, cycling, sea kayaking and take in some hillwalking also.

Each day of the week is packed with activity, from cycling off-road and on very minor roadways and tracks, to walking on national waymarked ways and on classic Mayo blanket bog landscapes, to tackling some of the area's great hillwaking sites.

We will visit bogs, forests, cliff top walks, an offshore island, Mayo National Park and more.

Day One : Arrival, dinner and orientation.

Day Two : Hillclimbing and cycling.

Day Three : Walking and hillclimbing.

Day Four : Walking and sea kayaking.

Day Five : Cycling.

Day Six : Walking on an offshore island.

Day Seven : Walking

Day Eight : Departure.

Accommodation is in local and rural Bed and Breakfasts, full board, in twin rooms. Packed lunches will be provided for each day out in the wonderful countryside.
